President and Founder, Roberto Aguas, named National Finalists for the USYS Competitive Girls Coach of the Year!

Our President and Founder, Roberto Aguas, has been named one of four National Finalists for the USYS Competitive Girls Coach of the Year!

In 2023, Roberto was honored as the NJYS Bob McNulty Coach of the Year, an award recognizing extraordinary commitment to good sportsmanship and player and team development.

This recognition comes in Roberto’s 20th year of leadership, following an incredible milestone of guiding a third FC Copa Academy team to a national title, along with leading five other teams to national finals. Most importantly, Roberto has assisted in the collegiate placement of more than 450 Copa players, continuing his unwavering dedication to the true development of student-athletes both on and off the field.

Now, Roberto is on the national stage! US Youth Soccer (USYS) will announce the National Winners at their awards luncheon on Thursday, Jan. 9, 2025, in Chicago during the United Soccer Coaches Convention.
