NJ COPA FC WOMEN PREPARE TO FACE WORCESTER SMILES

METUCHEN, NJ - The Women of NJ COPA FC are kicking it into high gear as they prepare to face the Worcester Smiles on Saturday, June 9th at Mercer County Community College. After getting a draw in their last game it is imperative that the Women come away with three points this weekend, but it won’t be easy as the Worcester Smiles are looking to come and steal a win away from home.

Don’t be fooled by the nice name, the Worcester Smiles mean business when they play. This team is very dangerous and has a high powered offense that will make for some difficult situations for the NJ COPA defense. However, the NJ COPA Women will be more than ready as they’ve been training hard leading up to this game. After their match against New York Surf ended in a draw last weekend, the Women have been determined to come away this weekend with nothing less than a win and three points.

When asked about the importance of this upcoming match, Head Coach Andrew Giallombardo stated, “I think it’s important to win every game when you play in a league as competitive as the UWS, unfortunately for us we have played well but just haven't had that little bit of luck to take us over the line. We won’t change much leading up to the game vs Worcester Smiles, we will stick to our philosophies while trusting our players to get the job done on the field. The team has been training very hard behind the scenes and the chemistry that’s being built has been extremely positive, we feel as if this weekend's match will be very positive for us.”

With team chemistry building and the team training hard, this weekend is shaping to be a very successful one for the Women of NJ COPA FC.
