FC Copa Academy takes pride in contributing to the community by spearheading a remarkable gear donation initiative. In collaboration with one of our dedicated parents, Michell Franzoni, we successfully collected and donated about 463 pounds of gently used soccer equipment to those in need.
Michelle Franzoni is the mother of our 2013 Autmun Franzoni, a standout athlete who is committed to playing for our 2013 and 2012 teams, filling any time left over with basketball. We are proud to have such fantastic examples of hardworking and commited people be apart of our Copa Community.
At FC Copa Academy, we understand the importance of giving back and the impact it can have on the lives of others. With the compassionate efforts of Ms. Franzoni, who reached out and shared the details of the organization, we were able to gather a substantial amount of gently used gear that we successfully handed over to DIG (Dream Invest Grow).
The organization, run by married couple Geoff and Rita Doppenberg, focuses purely on the impact they can leave on the indigenous communities of less fortunate parts of the world. With their help we are assure that our donations will be delivered directly to El Progresso in Jutiapa, Guatemala where the clothes will truly find a new home and avoide being left to waste.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Michelle Franzoni who took the lead in organizing this initiative and to DIG (Dream Invest Grow) for the fantastic work they will be doing to get our donations to their final destination.
