Our girls teams continued their success on the field this past weekend as they faced the Alleycats SC, of Albany, NY at our home fields of Rutgers University.
G03 Black (4-0): FC Copa Academy girls accomplished winning the EDP NPL North division against the #2 team in the country, the Alleycats this past Sunday. They played with good control, technique and grit which has reflected the work they have been doing off the field at training the past few weeks. The G03 Black is the only team in the academy to go undefeated in the NPL league. This game counted as an EDP Open Cup Match, therefore this win leads the team to the semifinals.
G02 (0-0): The G02 have also had a great spring in the NPL finishing just shy of an NPL title and we are very proud of their accomplishments throughout the season. The girls were able to not only win games, but win in style and it was a massive step in the right direction for this team. The final game score was 0-0 between FC Copa Academy and the Alleycats.
G01 (2-1): The FC Copa Academy girls 01 won their game 2-1 against the Alleycats.
The team went down early in the match off of a penalty kick, but battled through the tough weather conditions to come back to the final score, 2-1.
