We are excited to announce the appointment of Coach Emilio Alvarado as our new Video Analyst. A native of Allentown, PA, Coach Emilio has spent the past eight years working in the soccer world, specializing in video analysis at the MLS Next, adult, and collegiate levels. His experience includes time with Sporting Athletic, Allentown United, Pennsylvania Prime, and Muhlenberg College. Additionally, he recently earned his UEFA B License in Germany this past summer, further strengthening his expertise in the game.
As part of our commitment to enhancing player development, we have invested significantly in new Veo cameras, which will increase our ability to use video footage as an effective educational tool. This investment allows us to provide more in-depth analysis and structured feedback to players throughout the season.
“I am grateful for the opportunity to join FC Copa Academy and step into this role as Video Analyst,” said Emilio. “I am ready to make an impact across the entire club as a whole and contribute to the continued growth and success of our players and teams. I am a big believer of video analysis as a powerful tool to develop not only our players, but our coaches as well. By using video, we can increase the levels of our training and match performances in order to truly maximize player and coach development."
What This Means for Our Players:
- Update PlayMetrics: Players must ensure their personal email is added to PlayMetrics to receive important video content. Please ensure this is completed over the weekend as without their personal emails on their PlayMetrics account the player will not be added and automatically receive video footage.
- 7v7 & 9v9 Teams: Game links will be sent to players, but parents and players will not be added directly to Veo.
- 11v11 Teams: Each team will have at least one of their games recorded this season.
- Video Sessions: Coaches of 11v11 teams will conduct at least one video session with their teams, while younger age groups will receive video clips for review.
- One-on-One Coaching: Individuals will have the opportunity for personalized meetings with their coaches, using video analysis to improve understanding and development.
We believe this expanded use of video analysis will be a valuable tool in developing our players’ tactical awareness, decision-making, and overall performance on the field.
