Brian Neves, currently of the FC Copa Academy B00/01 National League team will be pursuing his dreams of playing College Soccer with a commitment to Div I, St. Peters University in the Fall of 2019.
Brian has been with FC Copa Academy for the last two seasons earning his way onto the National League team with some stellar performances and hard work in training.
About his journey and commitment to St. Peters Brian had this to say… My time here at Copa has been great, I learned many new things about myself and about the sport and it has shaped what I want to do in the future. I am excited to commit to play Div I soccer at St. Peter's University. A special thanks to the Academy and Coach Billy for helping me through the recruiting process and making my decision easy.
Current B00/01 National League head coach Billy Englishby shares his thoughts on Brian… “Brian is a perfect example of what it is to work towards his aspirations. Just last year he was featuring for our second team - but he has put in the work while trusting the process and was promoted to play for our National League team this year and has excelled in his position and understanding of the game. A player who is confident on the ball and has the ability to dictate and influence a game in the midfield ”
Next year Brian will be playing for Coach Julian Richens who is entering his ninth season at the helm for St. Peter's Men’s soccer. Brian will be looking to help the Mules compete in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference for the upcoming 2019 season and beyond.
We look forward to great things from Brian, and wish him congratulations and the best of luck as he pursues his soccer career at the next level.
