We are happy to share that Alexa & Ansley Castro spent one week in the Dominican Republic on National Team Camp. This was their first ever call up for their national team, so having a positive first impression was important for them. Alexa & Ansley both play for the FC Copa Academy G07 team under Coach Massimo.
The ladies were exposed to high level soccer right away, sharing the field with players who play all over the world. Along with training with high level players, the ladies also participated in friendly games during their time at the camp.
Coach Massimo shares his thoughts on the ladies achievement:
“Both Alexa and Ansley have been playing for me since joining FC COPA Academy. It is a proud moment to see them have the opportunity to be selected and train with their respective country’s national team. We hope they bring back a lot of experience that will benefit not only their game, but the overall performance of the team. It makes us excited to continue working with them.”
FC COPA Academy has been a platform for players to reach their maximum potential as both players and people. For the past 17 years, FC COPA Academy has put hundreds of players in both collegiate and professional playing settings, along with their respective national teams.
