Game Day Operations Coordinator

Term: March-August, 2021

 

Description: The New Jersey Copa FC Game Day Operations Coordinator Internship provides college credit or community service hours opportunities to Men and Women seeking to gain valuable experience and mentorship through meaningful responsibilities in the day to day operation of the Club.  The position takes a leadership role in managing and communicating responsibilities to game day staff.  FC Copa seeks applicants who bring exceptional communication skills, a positive approach to all tasks, creativity and a strong work ethic. 

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Available for office hours (mask and COVID precautions required) throughout the work week.

  • Attend all New Jersey Copa FC Home Matches at Saint Joseph High School in Metuchen, NJ scheduled in May, June, July (provided travel with the team to away games if attending)

  • Execute setup and break down logistics plans

  • Coordinate post event & pre event virtual planning meetings with game day staff

  • Manage accreditation

  • Create match day timelines, PA scripts and other competition matters throughout the week

  • Manage two-way radios

  • Manage bench area and communicate in-game statistics in real time

  • Provide match day timings (pregame/halftime) and events on and around the field

  • Serve as the field manager; the first point of contact for competition matters

  • Agree to FC Copa COVID precautions policies (including but not limited to wearing with a mask at events and regular testing conducted by FC Copa)



 

Commitment and Requirements:

  • Proficiency is google G-suite (gmail, docs, sheets, pages)

  • Understanding of the sport of soccer strongly preferred

  • Management leadership qualities and strong attention to detail

  • Effective communicator  

  • College credit available if applicable

  • Community Service Hours tracked and recognized if applicable 

  • New Jersey Copa FC match day apparel provided

  • Candidates receive on-boarding instruction, goal setting and personalized evaluation at the end of the commitment period

  • Candidates are expected to use a personal vehicle to events (other than away games).
