COPA SKILLS CHALLENGE

We are excited to unveil the Copa Skills Challenge!  FC Copa Academy Players have been doing a tremendous job staying engaged at home and keeping up with their training during the Covid-19 outbreak through all our offerings on the Virtual Training Portal.

 

Our Coaches recognize the desire for our players to compete, and in response we have developed the Copa Skills Challenge.  Over the next 9 weeks, we are rolling out a new competition in two stages.  
 

Copa Weekly Skills Challenge: Players will be tasked by their coaches to submit a video of a weekly Techne Futbol inspired challenge. We'll share the videos to see how we measure up within our teams and recognize everyone's efforts.

Copa GameDay Competitions: Based on the Copa Weekly Skills Challenge, each FC Copa Academy team’s coach will select one player to represent the team.

Saturday is Competition Day:  The selected players from each team will have until Noon that day to record a new Copa Skills Challenge video and submit (or keep the video they already submitted).  Our panel of FC Copa Academy coaches will view the videos submitted, critique and select a winning submission from each Group.  Those group winners will then face off in the SuperGroup categories.

 

Sunday is Selection Sunday:  We’ll post the best videos on FC Copa's Social Media Channels matching up Group A, Groups B-C, Groups D-F and Groups G-I.  The SuperGroup Winners will be posted here weekly.
