About FC Copa Futsal Academy 

Welcome to the 2019-2020 FC Copa Futsal Academy. We are excited to embark upon another winter of training and developing players on the court as they further their soccer skills via the compelling game of Futsal. 
 
The goal of the Futsal Academy program is to develop your soccer skills to new heights via Futsal training and participation in the NJ Futsal State Cup and the US Futsal Northeast Regional. Futsal, also known as "Five-a-Side" is the only FIFA recognized indoor soccer game; it is played on an indoor hard-surface court with four field players and a goalkeeper. Futsal is credited world wide as the game which has developed technical skills in some of the world’s greatest soccer players such as Pele, Zico, Ronaldo, Messi, Kaka and Katia.

The sport is a great skill developer as it demands quick reflexes, fast thinking, and pin-point passing. The small, heavier futsal ball requires players to hone their ball-striking and ball handling technique. At the FC Copa Futsal Academy, we have found that Futsal has helped shape our players technical proficiency, tactical understanding in small group settings, decision making in a fast paced environment, and ability to make quick key adjustments through out the course of a game.
