FC COPA ACADEMY Positions Available

The candidate should have a demonstrated commitment to and a passion for soccer, particularly in the development of players. The role of the coach is to develop, educate and provide a positive experience for all our academy players from U8 - U18. In addition to our academy teams, we also have a very successful U20, U23, NPSL men's team and UWS women's team that allow our alumni to continue their playing career post high school. All coaches are required to be punctual, possess a strong work ethic and be able to communicate clearly our club curriculum effectively to our players and parents.

FC Copa Academy provides youth soccer players with a superior coaching staff, a well-defined and progressive player development curriculum and state of the art training facilities at Rutgers University (Piscataway, NJ) and Rowan University (Glassboro, NJ). Since its inception in 2005, FC Copa Academy has placed over 300 players into over 250 collegiate programs, 3 players have traveled to play with their national teams, 2 players selected to attend the U17 U.S. National Team residency program and over a dozen players have signed with professional clubs.


 

 

STAFF & SENIOR STAFF COACHES (NORTH)

FC Copa is looking for professional coaches to join the coaching staff that embody the combination of qualities and talent that define the FC Copa Academy Coach:

  • Inspire a profound love of soccer in all players

  • Teach the technical, tactical, physical and mental sides of the game

  • Teach life skills through the game such as teamwork, handwork, and accountability

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous experience coaching at the youth level.
  • Hold a USSF B License for Senior Staff.
  • Possess a passion for the game, high moral character and the ability to work with others.
  • Hold a USSF D License for Associate Coaching Staff.

 

FC Copa coaches are both coaches and trainers and are assigned teams as head coaches or assistants based on their experience and overall abilities. We are especially interested in identifying qualified women coaches for assignment to our girls teams.

MARKETING INTERN

The marketing intern will have a hands-on role in supporting the marketing execution of day-to-day activities as well as have the opportunity to contribute to long-term planning. Core responsibilities will focus on:

  • Tracking and analyzing data from our website, facebook adn twitter 
  • Taking a lead role in the development and implementation of fan engagement initiatives
  • Supporting and creating new programs for the growth of FC Copa
  • Assisting with day-to-day services activities such as creating campaign letters and information packages to current and potential memebers
  • Making recommendations about marketing decisions and revenue generation opportunities

STAFF & SENIOR STAFF COACHES (SOUTH)

FC Copa Academy is seeking to fill several Soccer Staff & Senior Staff coaching positions in our South location (Glassboro, NJ).

GOALKEEPER COACH (SOUTH)
 

FC Copa Academy is looking for a Goalkeeper Coach . The candidate should have a thorough knowledge of the position and experience implementing a Goalkeeper specific curriculum. The role of the Goalkeeper coach is to develop, educate and provide a positive experience and passion for all the Goalkeepers in our Academy.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Work closely with the Goalkeeper Director
  • Implement the Goalkeeper curriculum in the South Location.
  • Produce regular reports for the Goalkeeper Director for the south location.
  • Teach the technical, tactical, physical and mental sides of the game.
  • Teach life skills through the game such as teamwork, accountability, and leadership.
  • Assist with planning, supervising and coordinating the training sessions and games
  • Assist with building the FC Copa Academy rosters according to the club’s guidelines
  • Scout and identify goalkeepers in the South NJ region during off season
  • Create and maintain healthy relationships with youth affiliates, colleges and local youth program coaches
  • Assist in managing the players behavior both on and off the field ·
  • Representing FC Copa Academy in all manners, including the participation in promotional and public related events depending on availability

Qualifications and Skills

  • Previous experience coaching at the youth level.
  • Hold a USSF License and/or NSCAA Diploma and/or Goalkeeper licenses.
  • Possess a passion for the game, high moral character and the ability to work with others.
